Retro 80’s Toyline logos

I recently had a go at retouching and cleaning up a few logos from my favourite toylines of the 80’s. My two favourite logos from that era are Dino-Riders and Masters of the Universe.

Movie Posters – Snatch homage

I am a big fan of the original Snatch posters which themselves referenced the original Trainspotting poster. I did a one sheet with Brad Pitts’ character Mickey – the Pikey boxer.

Film Poster Experiment – Closer (2004)

Closer is one of my favorite films and I highly recommend it if you haven’t seen it. The 2004 theatrical poster was an incredible achievement in design and there is not much one can do to improve on such elegance. I tried my own version with clean lines and a rigid template keeping the portrait theme of the original.

Movie Posters – Experiment

A lot of fan made posters these days tend to be minimalist, using icons instead of the traditional floating heads and whatnot. This is an attempt at a revision of Saving Private Ryan in the style of Olly Moss, whose work has created a host of worthy imitators.
